Dear Leland Community,
As principal of Leland Schools, it is my pleasure to welcome you back for another great year in Leland. Hopefully, the summer provided you with many memorable opportunities to spend time with family and friends. I am extremely excited to have everyone back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with positive energy and enthusiasm for learning. I am eagerly looking forward to working with you all as we continue to develop our students to become lifelong learners. At Leland School we continue to be a TEAM of exceptionally talented and committed staff members that are all invested in making our school the best it can possibly be.
As partners in the educational process, we share the responsibility for each student’s success and want everyone to know that we do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support the learning environment by ensuring that each student:
Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience.
Completes homework assignments and tasks given by teachers.
Reads daily to develop a love for reading and learning.
Reads and reviews the parent/student handbook that can be found on the district website or in the main office.
Monitors academic and social progress through your TeacherEase account.

Aug 13 - K-5 Unpack your backpack Night - 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Aug 14 & 15 - 6-12th Your Locker - 10:00am - 2:00pm
Aug 15 - First Day of Student Attendance (Full Day)
Sep 2 - No School - Labor Day
Sep 5 - 1:00pm Dismissal - Teacher Institute
Sep 10 - K-3 Curriculum Night - 6:00pm
Sep 19 - Grandparent’s Day
Sep 21 - Leland Harvest Fest
Going into my 6th year as the district principal, I am thrilled to work with all members of this great school and community. I encourage everyone to get involved with activities and events that are taking place in the building or the community. One of my favorite parts of this job is working with the people in this wonderful community. My door is always open, and I want to hear from you.
