4th grader Taya Benson and 6th grader Iris Choi were selected as recipients of Waubonsee Community College’s inaugural MLK Student Award after being nominated by a teacher.
This newly established award honors students who embody the values and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through leadership, service, courage, and a demonstrated commitment to justice, equity, and community.
