This is a GREAT document that helps explain viruses, COVID-19, and testing differences. Please take a few minutes to read through it, it may help answer many of your questions. Mrs. Moore has done a fantastic job of working hard to enable Leland CUSD 1 to become one of the ISBE pilot districts administering the Rapid Result Antigen Tests. Over the last several weeks we have issued nearly 100 tests. One thing remains consistent: having the Physician Order on file will help reduce quarantine time for symptomatic students, staff and family members. HUNGRY?? How about this ~ Class of 2023 Alfano's Pizza Fundraiser Pizzas are freshly made, but will arrive frozen. Orders can be placed anytime between now and Friday, January 22. Money must be collected at the time of ordering. Checks should be made out to Leland School. Delivery will be the first or second week of February depending on how many orders are placed. Any questions regarding this fundraiser should be directed to Brooke Grzanich at bgrzanich@leland1.org. If you do not have contact with a member of the Class of 2023, you can email Mrs. Grzanich directly to place an order. Money can be dropped off or mailed to the school office. Happy New Year Panthers! I hope this finds you safe & healthy. There seems to be a bit of confusion with the calendar, I've had many people asking this weekend. If you are using the mobile version of our website, you are directed to the WRONG calendar. I will work with Mr. Bland and our website management company to get everything updated. Classes resume Wednesday, 1/6/21 - it will be a "B" day for our middle & high school students and the HS GREEN GROUP will be in-person. Big shout out to Senior Cameron Rodriguez - Cam was listed as IVVC Outstanding Winter Student in their Welding and Fabrication program. The criteria included to be considered for Outstanding Student recognition are qualities such as outstanding professional work, enthusiasm, attendance, initiative, and demonstrated work ethic. Way to go Cameron!
