REMINDER - Leland School and Community Churches/Organizations are still holding the GIVING TREE PROGRAM this year. Some families will really need assistance given the circumstances we've been dealt this year! PLEASE, PLEASE fill out the form if you need any help this holiday season! There are so many wonderful people in our community that would love to help. We are providing an organized way to make that happen. The Giving Tree letter and form are attached. (Forms may be picked up at school, as well). You can drop off, US mail, or email your form - but PLEASE send it in! The due date is December 3rd. Send to Chris Bickel - 370 N. VETERANS DAY ASSEMBLY - 2020 Style
Please watch this presentation video for another moving ceremony for Veterans Day featuring Leland American Legion Post 570, American Legion Auxiliary 570, and Leland School. At 11:00 a.m. church bells will ring in town. This presentation is 27 minutes long.

All students that are participating in our hybrid/in-person plan will be served lunch by our cafeteria staff. (Students still have the option of bringing their own 'sack' lunch to school.)
In person students will have grab & go breakfast bags available as they leave for the day noting the following:
K-4 students - will bring home 1 breakfast Mon-Thurs and 2 breakfasts and 1 lunch on Friday
5-8 students - will bring home 1 breakfast Tue-Thurs and 3 breakfasts and 2 lunches on Friday
9-12 Green Group - will bring home 1 breakfast on Tue and 5 breakfasts and 4 lunches on Wednesday
9-12 Black Group - will bring home 1 breakfast on Thurs and 5 breakfasts and 4 lunches on Friday
This meal sign up link should ONLY be used for 100% remote students and children that are not yet school-age. Meals will continue to be delivered on Monday & Thursday mornings. Each bag will contain 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches.
*please note: every effort will be made to communicate if an in-person student is placed on quarantine to determine if meals should be sent home. Contact the office if you have not received meals for a quarantined student!

The meeting will include a PowerPoint presentation to the Leland and Somonauk Board of Education. This will be followed by a question and answer session, during which the public will also have the opportunity to submit their questions.
Due to the rise in COVID-19 positivity rates, the meeting attendance for the public as well as the members of both boards will be virtual.
